Michael Kors to acquire Versace, add stores

Michale Kors Holdings is renaming itself Capri Holdings after the company’s deal to acquire Versace. The luxury goods manufacturer plans to open about 100 new stores throughout the world in addition to the 200 it currently operates while expanding its online business. Michael Kors, which acquired Jimmy Choo last year, expects the addition of Versace to drive its annual revenues to $8 billion.
